Key Responsibilities:

Support the daily functions of the Fertilizer Terminal. Oversee and control terminal machinery for the loading and unloading of products. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of terminal facilities and grounds. Implement quality control measures (e.g., oiling dusty products), screen both inbound and outbound shipments, operate conditioners, and maintain equipment and work areas. Engage in safety discussions, plant evaluations, and task assessments. Ensure a tidy shipping and receiving area to avoid contamination of fertilizer products while adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.

Collaborators:

The Team: You will collaborate with three other Fertilizer Terminal Technicians and report to the Fertilizer Terminal Supervisor. This team is dedicated to fostering a culture of trust, support, and collaboration.

The Customers: You will focus on customer satisfaction while assisting local Co-ops, regional farms, and directly interacting with carriers responsible for distributing our products.

Importance of the Role:

Our Agro team plays a vital role in nourishing and developing Western Canadian communities by sourcing and distributing essential products and services to local Co-ops in the feed, crop supplies, and fertilizer sectors.

Candidate Profile:

Seeking a career in Production, Trades, and Maintenance with 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in trades such as millwright or welding, and prior exposure to terminal operations. Possess a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent qualification. Hold a valid driver's license, comfortable with heights, and able to work in dusty environments. Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrate mechanical skills related to terminal maintenance and repair, along with knowledge of fertilizer agricultural products. Certifications for mobile equipment and first aid training are advantageous.
