Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Medical Care Specialist. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to clients, including diabetes management, dialysis, IV medications, IV/CVAD care, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of clients.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the quality of care provided.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice.
- Experience in community health is an asset.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required, and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
