Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee safety initiatives and foster a culture of safety within the organization. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of all employees and compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management on safety-related initiatives
  • Advocate for a robust safety culture throughout the company
  • Conduct driver and employee orientations, coaching sessions, and safety training
  • Implement Safe Behaviour Observation programs, including field audits
  • Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Lead incident investigations and perform root cause analyses
  • Report on key performance indicators and communicate corrective actions
  • Manage daily activities of assigned personnel
  • Fulfill other related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a safety role within the industry
  • Thorough understanding of transportation regulations and occupational safety standards
  • Preferred certification: NATMI CDS or equivalent

Working Environment:

  • Dynamic and fast-paced workplace
  • Flexibility for non-standard hours and travel as required
  • High volume of communication through various channels

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to diverse audiences
  • Competence in data analysis for reporting and trend identification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and TMW Applications
