About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at 2636559 ONTARIO INC. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good condition.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment that meets health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This position is based in a restaurant environment.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine is a key focus of this role.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical demands such as standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
