About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  2. Delivery of Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery, and communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  5. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain equipment related to patient care, including medical devices and equipment.
  6. Team Support and Development: Assist in the orientation of new staff members, and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
