About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at Kobe Microgreens and Greenhouses Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • No formal degree or certification is required, as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Work Experience
    • Previous experience in agricultural labour is not necessary, as we will provide comprehensive training.
  • Tasks and Duties
    • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health.
    • Clean crops to ensure high-quality produce.
    • Clear fields of wood and stones to prevent damage to crops.
    • Cultivate crops on vertical farming systems.
    • Cut agricultural crops at the optimal time for maximum yield.
    • Dose water, light, and temperature as instructed to promote crop growth and development.
    • Grade vegetables and fruits into different categories based on size, shape, color, and volume to maximize market value.
    • Perform greenhouse cleaning to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
    • Hand-harvest vegetables to ensure high-quality produce.
    • Harvest seedlings to promote healthy growth.
    • Harvest soybean pods to maximize crop yield.
    • Monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns to ensure optimal conditions.
    • Pick row and orchard crops at the optimal time for maximum yield.
    • Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts to promote healthy growth.
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Work Term: Permanent position.
    • Work Language: English.
    • Hours: 40 hours per week.
