Position Overview

The role of Senior Simulation Developer involves deepening your expertise in the simulation components of Vention's cutting-edge technology stack. As part of an agile scrum team, you will enhance Vention's simulation engine by improving its precision and functionality. You will work closely with a talented group of developers to achieve your objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and implement innovative 3D simulation tools and workflows.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements in the development and testing practices of simulation systems.
  • Facilitate the modeling and integration of new, simulatable components into the platform.
  • Engage in agile practices such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews.
  • Mentor junior team members in all facets of agile software development.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including team leads, product managers, UX/UI designers, senior executives, and QA teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong foundation in linear algebra and familiarity with computer graphics.
  • Experience in computational geometry and numerical methods.
  • Background in developing simulation solutions or working with simulation engines.
  • Experience in software development for robotic applications is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of ROS is a plus but not essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with enthusiasm and energy.
