We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Associate to join our team at HUB International Canada West ULC. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support to our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
- Meet existing clients' needs and process documentation, including certificates of insurance, cover notes, renewals, proposals, endorsements, in-house policies, invoicing, finance contracts, and customer correspondence
- Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client
- Contact clients for renewal information
- Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages, accept and process online quotes
- Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer
- Update client information as changes occur
- Answer account-related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
- Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry
- Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
- Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
- Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet their desired needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Works well in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
- A competitive salary range of $50,000.00 to $75,000.00, depending on experience and location
