**Job Summary**
Carleton University is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished professional to serve as its next Vice-President (Finance and Administration). This is a key leadership role that requires a strong track record of success in financial and operational management, as well as a deep understanding of the higher education sector.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the university's core support services, including finance, human resources, facilities management, and information services and technology.
- Develop and implement effective financial plans and strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and viability of the university's assets and operations.
- Lead a team of over 360 employees and manage operating and ancillary budgets of more than $100 million.
- Collaborate with the President, senior team, and Board of Governors to drive the university's strategic objectives and priorities.
- Ensure excellence in financial services, pension fund management, facilities management and planning, and safety and risk management.
**Requirements**
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or public administration.
- Minimum 10 years of senior-level experience in financial and operational management, preferably in a higher education or public sector setting.
- Proven track record of success in financial planning, budgeting, and management, as well as experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a professional team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive results.
