About the Role
Graham, a leading real estate developer, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the preconstruction and construction phases of projects, from initial concept to project closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction and construction phases of projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Provide constructability and value engineering input to optimize project costs and schedules.
- Collaborate with architectural and engineering consultants to drive detailed design and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with our construction group to optimize project schedules and budgets, ensuring project success.
- Assist with budget reviews and work with internal accounting staff to process payments and prepare internal project reports.
- Manage scheduling, decision documentation, and change orders during the construction phase.
- Monitor the performance of project team consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
- Support internal and external relationships, including public and private sector clients, joint-venture partners, financial partners, specialist subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure quality control of the finished product and handover to property management.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in construction and real estate development.
- A relevant education in Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam preferred.
- Proven track record of managing development projects from start to finish.
- Experience and thorough understanding of the specific needs, codes, and regulations pertaining to building concrete multi-family development projects in BC.
- Strong business acumen with proven communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities.
- Proven decision-making abilities related to budget, design, and expenditures.
- Possess a team-first mentality, balancing humility and ambition to drive results.
What We Offer
- $126,000 per annum, with salary commensurate with education and experience.
