Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mark IV Tamper Operator to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our Tamper and Regulator equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient alignment of railway tracks.
This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain Tamper and Regulator equipment to ensure safe and efficient track alignment
- Conduct regular mechanical and safety inspections to identify and address any issues
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment is in good working condition
- Assist with administrative tasks, including production reports and timekeeping
- Collaborate with crew members to achieve project goals and objectives
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license and a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the railway industry
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Mark IV Tamper operator
- Ability to pass all required railway operating rules examinations
- Ability to pass eRailSafe Canada certification
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including screening for drugs and alcohol
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and night shifts
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
