Key Responsibilities- Provide Nursing Care: Deliver exceptional nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Implement and Evaluate Care: Implement care plans and evaluate their effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
- Manage Medications: Safely administer medications, manage medication supplies, and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Document Resident Information: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer proficiency, with experience using electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Clearance: Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a clear Criminal Record check.
