Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at The Food Village Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, organized, team player, work term: permanent, work language: English, hours: 35 hours per week.
