Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will assume a full-time employment role focusing on welding and pipefitting in the capacity of Sr. Maintenance Technician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Corrective and Preventative maintenance on a variety of plant equipment.
  • Exercise judgment within well-defined and established procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; identify problems and generate alternatives and recommendations within defined processes.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs of line manufacturing equipment.
  • Locate and diagnose failure, replace defective components and perform basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Use a variety of hand, power and test tools and equipment.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing facility is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Pipefitting, Steam, welding fabrication and Heating systems.
  • B pressure welding is essential, approved Journeyman Alberta Canada.
  • Experience with plant operating equipment, and centrifugal pumps is preferred.
  • Participation in an On-Call rotation is mandatory.
  • Flexibility for overtime hours may be necessary.
  • Occasional work in confined spaces is required.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of maintenance systems, methods, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Education and Experience

  • 6+ years of relevant experience and a high school diploma; or 5+ years of relevant experience with an associate degree.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment.
