About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Station Supervisor to join our team at 1482244 AB. Ltd. as a Retail Business Leader. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our gas station, ensuring seamless customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and allocate tasks to sales staff to ensure optimal productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their full potential.
  • Authorize Payments and Order Merchandise: Process payments, manage inventory, and order merchandise to maintain a well-stocked and efficient sales floor.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
  • Sell Merchandise and Prepare Reports: Sell merchandise to customers, manage sales data, and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve Customer Issues and Organize Inventory: Address customer complaints, resolve issues, and maintain a well-organized inventory system.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff Activities: Oversee and coordinate the activities of sales staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: Possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate as a minimum educational requirement.
  • Experience: Have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail business environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Assist with Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Support Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support Foreign Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offer Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Provide Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Youths
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
  • Offer On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
  • Provide Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develop Relationships with Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitate Access to Elders: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
