As a Client Relationship Manager, you will serve as a product advisor within the Surgical product range, focusing on soft tissue injury repair and degenerative conditions affecting the shoulder, knee, hip, and small joints.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Client Relationship Manager is responsible for overseeing and expanding the designated business categories within the ASD Business Unit for the assigned region. This role ensures that patients have access to our technologies through exceptional service to our clients.
- Achieve ASD sales objectives in collaboration with the sales team.
- Develop and implement an effective territory/account sales strategy, presenting it to management for approval.
- Maintain comprehensive market and account analysis models, providing accurate business forecasts based on detailed market research, including market size, pricing, competitive landscape, and other relevant data to formulate strategies that enhance sales and increase market share across all product lines.
- Ensure the execution of promotional and sales initiatives in alignment with marketing communications, education, clinical training, and support.
- Cultivate strong, enduring relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the purchasing process to strengthen the Smith & Nephew brand.
- Coordinate with Account Managers, Territory Managers, and other Smith & Nephew divisions regarding activities within the assigned region.
- Establish guidelines for leveraging resources and coordinating shared services within the district network.
- Provide insights and field input for region-specific initiatives, actively participating in and supporting the execution of strategic programs.
- Assist in executing Medical Education programs as part of the overall Sales & Marketing strategy to support healthcare professional education.
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to maintain a strong understanding of product performance, market trends, and potential opportunities.
- Implement and drive tender management strategies through expert input and strategy development for all ASD requests for proposals, quotations, contracts, and inquiries to ensure successful acquisition of new business and maintenance of existing customer relationships.
- Attend and engage in key professional congresses and events as necessary.
- Provide procedural implant support to the clinical team as required.
- May require on-call coverage for Orthopaedic cases, including evenings and weekends, as determined by the Territory Manager or Regional Sales Manager.
- Ensure that inventory and stock levels are accurately managed, including the active oversight of capital equipment and loaners in the assigned region.
- Foster strong business relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the purchasing process.
Qualifications for Success:
- Understanding of the dynamics of sales within community and academic teaching hospitals.
- Ability to sell in a value-based healthcare system, utilizing CRM sales tools while implementing and leading account management strategies.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proven excellence in interpersonal skills.
Travel Requirements: Regular travel within the designated sales territory, with 2-4 overnight stays per month. Occasional national travel for events and conferences.
All field sales professionals must successfully complete our credentialing process to gain entry into healthcare facilities, which may include COVID-19 vaccine management.
