Position: ANALYST 1 – SOLIDS WORKSTATION

Employment Type: Full-Time with Medical Benefits and Retirement Savings Plan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical analyses utilizing various laboratory instruments.
  • Prepare samples and perform straightforward laboratory tests such as TSS, TDS, VSS, and TS in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Organize daily samples based on turnaround time (TAT) and holding time requirements.
  • Document and report sample results using Excel and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including control charting.
  • Prepare reagents and maintain accurate documentation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure proper labeling and completion of working records and raw data.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and workstations.
  • Prepare and clean glassware necessary for sample analysis.
  • Perform basic analyses, including the operation of balances and meters.
  • Keep maintenance records current for laboratory instruments.
  • Meet quality standards and turnaround time specifications set by clients.
  • Provide updates to supervisors regarding workstation status and any potential delays.
  • Maintain control charts in compliance with quality assurance manual requirements, monitoring for deviations and consulting with supervisors for corrective actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures and instrumental techniques.
