Position Overview

The Area Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Division Manager in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, policies, and field construction operations within the designated region. This position is integral in executing the company's objectives and priorities for the team. The Area Operations Manager is responsible for scheduling crew activities and overseeing the operational efficiency and deliverables of Rising Edge Group in the assigned territory, while fostering long-term partnerships with stakeholders. This role emphasizes the continuous enhancement of the company's operational framework to optimize productivity and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and coordinate all facets of resource and equipment management.
  2. Contribute to the formulation and execution of tailored work plans and timelines for specific sites.
  3. Manage the logistics of all company-owned resources and materials.
  4. Review and guide various financial operations.
  5. Ensure the maintenance and management of company assets.
  6. Lead personnel to achieve both organizational and individual objectives.
  7. Address project-specific and client needs within the area.
  8. Facilitate a productive work environment to enhance performance in the region.
  9. Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources and equipment.
  10. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to refine resource management strategies.
  11. Maintain precise records and documentation regarding resource allocation and usage.
  12. Continuously assess resource requirements and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  13. Implement cost-effective measures to maximize resource efficiency.
  14. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on resource allocation practices.
  15. Monitor and report on essential performance metrics related to resource management.

Qualifications

  1. Journeyperson Electrician certification or a degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
  2. Strong commitment to safety and fostering a safety-oriented culture.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational or supervisory capacity is required.
  4. At least 5 years of experience in the High Voltage or utility sector is essential.
  5. Willingness to travel to various field locations.
  6. High standards for quality and familiarity with quality assurance programs.
  7. Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  8. Strong diplomatic skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and personnel management.
  9. Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  10. Ability to effectively utilize general office equipment.
  11. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to completion.
  12. Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks independently.
