Hardware Specialist

Job Summary
Matrox is seeking a skilled Hardware Technician to join its Video Division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hardware design, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist engineers with prototype testing, including wake-up, burn-in, and validation.
Manage lab test stations, ensuring proper configuration, reboot, and connectivity.
Measure signal quality and verify performance using specialized equipment.
Perform thermal, environmental, and vibration tests to ensure product reliability.
Research and validate second sources for critical components.
Write detailed test and validation reports to document findings.
Prepare systems for electromagnetic certification and resolve any issues that arise.
Develop software and hardware tools to validate products and improve testing efficiency.
Provide production support to ensure smooth product delivery.
Requirements
DEC in electronics, electrical engineering, or computer systems technology.
Advanced knowledge of electronic design, including high-speed digital circuits and analog circuits.
Strong debugging skills and proficiency with laboratory equipment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
