Senior Software and Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software and Hardware Senior Engineering Specialist to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing supplier's airborne software and electronic hardware designs to ensure they meet our technical requirements and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will participate in Bombardier preliminary and critical system design reviews, review and assess supplier's airborne software and electronic hardware certification plans, and perform technical and process audits at supplier's facilities. You will also assess software and hardware test results and analyses and determine final compliance status, lead the resolution of safety, compliance or technical deficiencies with the suppliers and Bombardier stakeholders, and prepare and/or review design compliance reports.
To thrive in this role, you will need to hold a University engineering degree in Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, have Canadian citizenship, and a minimum of 15 years of experience in a technical engineering field, including a minimum of 10 years in aeronautics. You will also need to have a minimum of 5 years of FPGA or ASIC development and/or embedded software development for aerospace applications, and thorough working knowledge of airborne software and electronic hardware guidance and Means of Compliances.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess supplier's airborne software and electronic hardware designs
- Participate in Bombardier preliminary and critical system design reviews
- Review and assess supplier's airborne software and electronic hardware certification plans
- Perform technical and process audits at supplier's facilities
- Assess software and hardware test results and analyses and determine final compliance status
- Lead the resolution of safety, compliance or technical deficiencies with the suppliers and Bombardier stakeholders

Requirements:
