Position Overview
The IT Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of technology solutions within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of quality assurance strategies and practices across various IT domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development and execution of the IT Quality Assurance strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Participates in the creation and execution of the TCOE Tooling & Practices Roadmap, focusing on both functional and non-functional test automation frameworks.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote adherence to Quality Engineering best practices and policies.
- Works with vendor partners to optimize technology operations and enhance customer support.
- Advocates for the expanded use of Automated Testing and Test Data Management to support continuous integration and delivery.
- Champions SAFe Agile methodologies, ensuring integration of testing teams within agile scrum teams.
- Provides strategic input to IT Leadership on best practices and alternative solutions during project execution.
- Ensures compliance with CNA processes related to IT Quality Assurance through active monitoring and reporting.
- Oversees resource estimation and budget management for Quality Engineering Services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Expertise in software quality practices, testing standards, and integrated tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and familiarity with testing strategies.
- Strong technical knowledge of various test automation disciplines.
- Experience in metrics-driven quality governance practices.
- Current knowledge of technologies supporting integrated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with leadership to define service objectives.
- Proven project management skills in an Agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in a leadership role within Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance.
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, including applications development or quality engineering.
- Experience managing IT vendor relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of testing frameworks supporting various testing types.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
