Volunteer Roles in Cancer Support

Job Summary:
The Arts & Science Undergraduate Society is seeking dedicated individuals to fill various volunteer roles within the Cancer Triad. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in the Cancer Ward at Kingston General Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Cancer Triad Coordinator to plan and execute initiatives aimed at supporting patients and families in the Cancer Ward.
- Work closely with other directors to ensure successful event outcomes and consistent branding and messaging.
- Manage social media campaigns, design promotional materials, and oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies.
- Plan, organize, and execute events for the Cancer Triad, including coordinating event logistics and managing timelines.
- Manage the financial operations of the Cancer Triad, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports.
- Serve as a liaison and promote events to first-year undergraduate students through various platforms.
Requirements:
- Eligible candidates must have paid the Arts & Science Undergraduate Membership Fee.
- Strong communication skills and creativity are essential for effectively reaching and engaging the target audience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for managing multiple events simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of financial management is required for the Finance Director role.
Time Commitment:
An approximately 8-month term with a time commitment of 2-3 hours per week.
