About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Electrician to join our team at K-Jay Electric Ltd. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation of electrical controls and panel boxes, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and repair electrical faults, and troubleshoot issues with electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Renovation and Upgrade: Assist in the renovation and upgrade of electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Operate conventional electrical devices and hand tools, and maintain equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the electrical trade.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Work Environment

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads and working in physically demanding conditions. You will be required to work at various locations, including construction sites and commercial buildings.
