Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surface Land Agent to join our team at Scott Land Ltd. As a key member of our surface land team, you will be responsible for acquiring and consulting on surface land rights for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and negotiate surface land rights for projects in the renewable energy, new energy sources, infrastructure, telecom, and oil and gas industries.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including clients, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies, and management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in surface land acquisition and consultation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Olds College certificate or university degree in a related field.
  • Interim land agent license or equivalent experience.
  • Active member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) is an asset.
  • Rural background and experience in surface land acquisition and consultation.
