About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installation Specialist to join our team at K-Town Carpets and Flooring Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with carpet or other flooring materials.
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling to ensure efficient installation.
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, walls, or other surfaces.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for customers.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.
  • Estimate costs and materials for each installation project.
  • Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces.
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations and double-bond carpet installations.
  • Install outdoor carpets.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in flooring installation is an asset.
