Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our team at VCA Canada. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency and critical care to patients, including triage, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with our team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members and students.
Requirements
  • DVM degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Completed a small animal internship or have 2 years of in-hospital emergency experience.
  • Leadership skills and a positive, team-player attitude.
  • Excellent diagnostic and critical care skills.
  • Exemplary client service skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
