Bartender Job Description

The Silver Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, taking orders and serving drinks and snacks.
  • Assist in planning and presenting the bar menu.
  • Check identification of guests when in doubt to ensure they meet age requirements for purchasing alcohol and tobacco products.
  • Arrange the bar area to create attractive displays.
  • Assess customer needs and preferences, making recommendations.
  • Sell or influence others by up-selling and suggestive selling.
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions to guests.
  • Maintain liquor inventory and consumption.
  • Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
  • Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Smart Serve Certification.
  • Food Handling Certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
