Data Analyst - Summer Co-op Opportunity

Elexicon Energy Inc. is a leading municipally owned electricity distributor in Ontario, committed to providing reliable and affordable energy services to our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team for a summer co-op position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance and support to internal users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with system upgrades and installations.
  • Contribute to various IT projects, including data profiling and assessment, data cleansing and transformation, and data governance.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and PC builds to ensure a stable and consistent user experience.
  • Work with active directory and Entra AD to add/modify users, computers, and groups.
  • Assist with MS Intune MDM and testing new functionality.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with all IT Team members.
  • Play an active role in the creation and testing of documentation for systems, processes, how-to, FAQ, and other documentation as required.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary Business Administration, Business Technology, Information Technology, or Computer Science program at a college or university.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data quality insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including SQL, and experience working with relational databases.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
