Data Analyst Summer Co-op Opportunity

Elexicon Energy Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Summer Co-op to join our IT team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance and support to our internal users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, system upgrades, and installations.
  • Contribute to various IT projects, including data profiling and assessment, data cleansing and transformation, and data visualization.
  • Work with active directory and Entra AD to add/modify users, computers, and groups.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with all IT Team members.
  • Participate in project work as required.
Data Profiling and Assessment:

Assist in conducting comprehensive data profiling and analysis to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors within Elexicon's Customer Information System.

Data Cleansing and Transformation:

Assist in developing and implementing data cleansing strategies and methodologies to address identified data quality issues.

Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary Business Administration, Business Technology, Information Technology, or Computer Science program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data quality insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
