As a Surveying Technician at EX-MAX Contracting, you will play a crucial role in supporting our surveying operations. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate measurement and analysis of land and geographic features.
Educational Requirements- Completion of College or CEGEP education in a relevant field.
This position primarily involves outdoor work, requiring a commitment to safety and environmental awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the calculation, analysis, and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys.
- Support the preparation of detailed drawings, charts, and plans.
- Collaborate with survey engineers or professional surveyors to develop effective methods and procedures for conducting field surveys.
- Conduct field surveys and operate various survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distances, angles, elevations, and contours.
- Utilize global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to determine precise geographic locations.
- Prepare comprehensive drawings, charts, plans, and survey notes and reports.
- Record measurements and other relevant information obtained during field survey activities.
- Proficient in operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable and organized.
- Reliable team player with good interpersonal skills.
Candidates should have between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week.
Language ProficiencyFluency in English is required for this role.
