We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at SEVEN M CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our landscaping crew, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, Train, and Supervise Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of landscaping professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance of our clients' properties, including lawn care, tree trimming, and other landscaping services.
- Manage Landscape Construction Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of landscape construction projects, including the installation of new landscaping features and the renovation of existing ones.
- Resolve Work Problems and Provide Technical Advice: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during projects, and provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to help team members improve their skills and knowledge.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the landscaping industry.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficient in the use of chain saws, small engine equipment, sod cutters, and tractor mowers.
- Area of Specialization: Lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance, landscape construction, and nursery or greenhouse management.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Strong initiative, judgement, and team player skills.
