We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Painter to join our team at A Class Collision Ltd. as a key member of our repair team.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports and provide accurate quotes to clients.
- Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Plan and coordinate repair work to be performed, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and a positive experience for clients.
- Clean and maintain the work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Instruct and train apprentices in the art of automotive body painting and repair.
- File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, using precision and attention to detail.
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces, utilizing a range of colors and techniques.
- Repair or replace interior components, including upholstery, trim, and other interior features.
- Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs, ensuring a safe and secure vehicle.
- Mix paint, blend, and match colors to achieve a perfect finish.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams, demonstrating expertise and precision.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in the automotive body repair industry is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Physical demands of the job include bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Personal qualities include accuracy, client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
