We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy services and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Process medication orders and verify their accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and compound prescriptions, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures
- Verify and authenticate prescriptions received from practitioners
- Enter and maintain accurate and complete drug and personal health information in our pharmacy information system
- Perform clerical duties and maintain stock levels as assigned
- Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to keyboard and operate related equipment
