About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at goeasy Ltd. As a key member of our Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions on Azure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify, design, develop, test, and implement cloud services and solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge-sharing to team members, promoting efficiency, productivity, and innovation.
  • Lead DevOps initiatives to streamline environment deployment and maintenance, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Support the data solutions team in their operations and projects, leveraging your expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.
  • Regularly evaluate cloud applications, designs, and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and goeasy's security and governance requirements.
  • Work closely with internal business partners to gather requirements, design, and implement solutions, manage technical operations, and triage and resolve operational issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for multiple environments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and build tools and/or processes for automation, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technology trends and best practices, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure.
  • Experience administering Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Scripting and coding skills, including PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python.
  • Extensive experience in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Infrastructure as code (IaC) experience, preferably with Terraform.
  • Expertise in Azure Data Solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.
  • Good knowledge of core cloud services, such as VMs, Containers, App Services, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Application Gateways, Load balancers, and Storage accounts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key technological concepts, including IT architecture, Cloud technologies, applications, network infrastructure, and security.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, testing, and deploying enterprise and multi-cloud network infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Lean principles, such as Scrum, Kanban, and MVP.
  • Experience managing vendor-provided services, including outsourcing arrangements.
  • Experience working within a structured process methodology, such as ITIL.
  • Strong systems aptitude, demonstrated project management and planning skills, balanced strategic skills with tactical execution skills.
