Senior Total Wealth Planner

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Total Wealth Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Planning Advisory team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning advice and support to high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver end-to-end goals-based financial plans to clients, including gathering key data and information, preparing and analyzing financial plans, and presenting strategies to clients.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and champion for financial planning, providing ongoing professional advice on complex strategies and fostering collaboration among team members.
  • Build relationships with external experts and internal advisors to drive collaboration and provide optimal service to clients.
  • Maintain financial planning professional practice standards and internal service level agreements, staying current on all financial planning related topics and following standard procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the Financial Planning Advisory team by participating in team learning development activities, building effective working relationships, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Requirements:
  • University degree and accredited financial planning designation (CFP)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a high net worth financial planner
  • Expert knowledge of financial planning software (Naviplan) and ability to travel to meet clients within a designated region
Desirable Qualifications:
  • TEP designation, Life Insurance license, and professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA, LLB)
  • Canadian Securities Course and additional estate and/or tax courses
