About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Egis Canada. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting senior staff with engineering design on various projects, providing leadership and mentoring to engineering interns and technologists, and preparing technical designs, specifications, and reports for municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist senior staff with engineering design on a variety of projects.
  2. Provide leadership and mentoring for engineering interns and technologists.
  3. Prepare technical designs, specifications, and reports for municipal projects.
  4. Liaise with clients, government, and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors.
  5. Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Participate in the preparation of engineering services proposals.
  7. Monitor industry standards and developments, assessing client needs, and making concrete decisions on proposed solutions.
Requirements
  1. Completion of a University degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.).
  3. Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive related experience within a professional services environment.
  4. Project management experience.
  5. Demonstrated ability for, and interest in, business development.
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with clients, and other relevant stakeholders.
  7. Thorough knowledge in Municipal Engineering, including policies, regulations, guidelines, and operational procedures.
  8. Demonstrated experience in preliminary and detail design work with proven solid design capabilities.
  9. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  10. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively.
  11. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  12. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
