About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at JIT Automation Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, preparing design, drawings, and specifications, and carrying out mechanical tests and analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to support project development and implementation.
  • Carry out a range of mechanical tests and analyses to evaluate the performance and safety of machines, components, and materials.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects and prepare detailed reports.
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Test and inspect mechanical equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, and SolidWorks software skills.
  • Experience with machinery and components, moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with heavy loads.
