Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 20 direct reports and developing them to achieve exceptional results. You will work closely with other leaders to ensure effective transitions between teams and shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe and positive work environment, with a strong culture of teamwork and open communication.
- Ensure an environment that allows open reporting and prompt follow-up and resolution to employee concerns.
- Lead a team of approximately 20 direct reports, developing them to take ownership of results, think creatively, and make economic decisions aligned with the company's risk profile.
- Ensure employees develop skills required to identify root cause and take effective actions to resolve problems.
- Identify performance gaps and build improvement plans to enhance skill and capabilities within your team.
- Work closely with other leaders to ensure effective transitions between teams and shifts.
Requirements
- Previous experience leading/supervising a team.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
- 3+ years' experience in a leadership role.
- Previous experience leading/supervising a manufacturing or operations team.
- Previous experience leading in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education in a technical or technology discipline (i.e. Maintenance, Welding, etc).
- Able and willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts as required.
