About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at A.K. Landscaping Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of grounds maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects efficiently.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for grounds maintenance, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments of project requirements, estimating labour and material needs to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise the installation of landscaping features, including plants, trees, and hardscapes.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain project records, including schedules, budgets, and quality control metrics.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support project execution.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and resolve issues, providing expert advice to improve project efficiency and quality.
  • Supervise Nursery and Greenhouse Workers: Lead a team of nursery and greenhouse professionals, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
