Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Painter to join our team at AUTO PAINT REPAIRS. As an Automotive Body Painter, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by painting and refinishing body surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Workspace

Ensure a safe and organized workspace by cleaning and maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas.

Prepare Body Surfaces for Painting

File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, and mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.

Paint and Refinish Body Surfaces

Apply primers and repaint surfaces, and mix paint, blend, and match colors to achieve a flawless finish.

Remove and Replace Damaged Parts

Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.

Ensure Quality and Safety

Conduct a driving record check (abstract) and criminal record check, and ensure a valid driver's license is maintained.

Meet Physical Demands

Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, initiative, reliability, and teamwork.

Requirements
  • Education

Other trades certificate or diploma.

Experience

5 years or more of experience in the automotive body painting industry.

Language

English.

Work Conditions

30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
