At AUTO PAINT REPAIRS, we are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Painter to join our team. As an Automotive Body Painter, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by applying paint and coatings to metal and plastic surfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized work environment by cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and workspaces.
- Surface Preparation: File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, and mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Paint Application: Apply primers and repaint surfaces to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Color Matching: Mix paint, blend, and match colors to ensure a precise match.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections to identify and repair defects, dents, and buckles.
- Tool Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in automotive body painting or a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
As an Automotive Body Painter, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to chemicals, dust, and noise. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
