Job Title: Chinese Language Educator
Job Summary:
Mon Sheong Foundation is seeking a qualified Chinese Language Educator to join our team at our Chinese School campuses. As a Chinese Language Educator, you will be responsible for teaching Chinese language and culture to students of various age groups and skill levels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teach Chinese language and culture to students in a classroom setting, using a variety of teaching methods and materials.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students and align with the curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement school-wide programs and events.
- Communicate with parents and guardians through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification or equivalent.
- Native or near-native fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours from September to June.
- Classes held on Wednesday, Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
Language Requirements:
- Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese language proficiency.
- English language proficiency.
