Job Title: Chinese School Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chinese School Teacher to join our team at Mon Sheong Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chinese language and culture to students at our Chinese School campuses.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chinese language and culture to students at various grade levels.
  • Implement curriculum and program to maximize students' learning experience.
  • Use various teaching methods to instruct students.
  • Deliver program according to teaching plan approved by Principal.
  • Attend teacher meetings, seminars, and assist in school events.
  • Maintain attendance records and contact parents in case of student absence.
  • Assign homework, mark, review, and return student work within a week or two.
  • Administer tests to evaluate students' progress and issue reports to parents.
  • Meet with parents to discuss student progress and problems.

Qualifications:

  • Teachers' College Diploma or equivalent.
  • ECE Diploma is an asset.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably within Ontario.
  • Good command of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification an asset.

Working Hours:

  • Part-time hours from September to June.
  • Classes held on Wednesday, Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
