Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide direct patient care, assess and plan nursing interventions, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing diagnoses and care plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, prioritizing patient needs and collaborating with the interprofessional care team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two years' recent related acute care experience and completion of a nursing program in the designated clinical area (critical care or emergency nursing), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a critical care or emergency nursing environment.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
