About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at CO-UP AUTO BODY REPAIR. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution: Interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate execution.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications, and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Metal Fabrication: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate metal parts and products.
  • Material Evaluation: Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and overtime required.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, and team player.
