Job Title: Senior Product Manager

Job Summary:

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the M365 initiative and related services. As the driving force behind this strategic program, you will be responsible for shaping the broader direction and delivery of a cloud platform that is one of the institution's core enterprise technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with academic and administrative units to deeply understand their unique needs and align M365 capabilities with the institution's overarching goals.
  • Oversee project and sustainment teams to ensure alignment with UBC's strategic vision, while Project Managers are responsible for executing specific projects.
  • Lead operational and ongoing sustainment efforts for the services in your purview, managing the support teams and strategically nurturing M365 adoption.
  • Optimize the university's investment in M365, strategically positioning the platform to enhance teaching, learning, research, and workplace productivity.
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations and workshops to engage with stakeholders, including executive leadership and technical units.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate degree and minimum of ten years of related experience, including at least four years of managerial experience and three years of specialized experience in the design and implementation of major computer systems.
  • Strong leadership and vision, with the ability to spearhead the M365 initiative and drive strategic direction.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with academic and administrative units.
  • Strong technical expertise, with proficiency in a M365 technical area, including Azure Environment, architectural design, workload migration from on-premises to the Cloud, and Cloud Migration Strategy.
  • Ability to work independently and assume full responsibility for decisions, while also collaborating with the Director of Digital Enablement and other stakeholders.
