Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Guidewire Product Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Guidewire Product Owner and serve as a crucial link between business stakeholders, IT teams, and our Guidewire Managed Service partner. This role is essential in transforming business challenges into effective technology solutions on the Guidewire Platform, which will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Overseeing the Portfolio Management flight path and maintaining change management documentation.
- Prioritizing defects, developing business requirements for enhancements, and managing project work streams.
- Conducting comprehensive end-to-end testing across various workstreams, including test design, execution, and documentation of results.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively bridge the gap between technical and business requirements. Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and addressing front-line defect submissions, troubleshooting user errors, and validating true defects.
- Publishing release notes and researching business unit inquiries.
- Identifying areas for improvement within existing procedures and business processes.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in scheduling, planning, and monitoring the Guidewire release process.
- Create and maintain essential documentation, including requirements, issue logs, meeting minutes, and project summaries.
- Collaborate with various functional units to clarify and gather input for requirements, ensuring that the configured solution aligns with business objectives.
- Support the Guidewire Policy Center Product Owner by facilitating communication between stakeholders and the implementation team.
- Utilize Agile methodology in platform implementation and manage the intake of warranty and non-warranty defects for timely resolution.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field; knowledge of reinsurance is advantageous.
- CIP or FCIP designation or progress towards it is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Underwriting Operations and general knowledge of Claims Operations, particularly in process flows and design.
- A proactive approach to learning the technical architecture of Guidewire and related systems.
- Experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with a focus on Guidewire Policy Center is a plus.
- Familiarity with Guidewire's Agile methodology and related technologies, including Policy Center, Claims Center, and Billing Center.
- Knowledge of broker channels, distribution networks, and P&C insurance products is beneficial.
