Position Overview: Marine Mechanic for Systems and Equipment
We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to handle the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. Reporting to the foreman, your key responsibilities will include:
- Executing the installation and repair of mechanical systems on vessels under construction or in dry dock;
- Utilizing lifting devices, disassembling and reassembling machinery, and participating in testing processes;
- Installing and maintaining piping systems;
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment;
- Conducting preventive inspections and routine upkeep tasks;
- Assessing and fixing both stationary and mobile machinery;
- Carrying out additional tasks as directed by the foreman;
- Contributing to health, safety, and environmental management initiatives.
Ideal candidates will possess a diploma in mechanics along with a minimum of two years of experience in the maritime or industrial fields. Familiarity with diesel mechanics and relevant field experience are advantageous. A valid driver's license, strong manual dexterity, adaptability, teamwork skills, and a willingness to travel are essential attributes for this role.
