Electronic Systems Engineering Lab Instructor

Position Summary
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Regina seeks a dedicated individual for a tenure-track faculty position as a Lab Instructor in Electronic Systems Engineering.
As a key member of our academic team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate laboratory courses across various program specializations. These include Communications, Micro-Electronics, Control Systems, and Power. Your responsibilities will also encompass conducting lab sessions focused on core electronic systems topics and gaining proficiency in VHDL, FPGA, and SoC devices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging laboratory instruction for undergraduate students in Electronic Systems Engineering.
- Contribute to the curriculum development and refinement of lab courses across various program specializations.
- Supervise and mentor students during laboratory sessions, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Maintain and update laboratory equipment and resources to ensure optimal functionality.
- Stay abreast of advancements in electronic systems engineering and integrate relevant technologies into lab courses.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) or equivalent degree in Electronic Systems Engineering or a closely related field, eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan.
- A Diploma of Applied Science/Technology in Electronic Systems Engineering or a related area, eligible for registration as an Applied Science Technologist in Saskatchewan.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial settings within the Communications and/or Micro-Electronics sectors is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
