As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and estimating parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Discuss work with supervisor
- Review work orders
- Road test motor vehicles
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
- 5 years or more of experience in the field
- Equivalent experience
The successful candidate will work in a workshop environment with dusty and noisy conditions.
